A conflict in the maker’s own numbers

The manufacturer publishes two different sizes for this part. Its bullet text and both of its dimension graphics say 22.16 x 20.75 x 6.45 in, and the carton it arrived in is consistent with that. But the manufacturer’s technical detail table states a product size of 15 x 15 x 5 in, which cannot be correct for a full-width dishwasher lower rack. We are reporting both figures rather than quietly picking the one we like, and we have deliberately left the item length, width and height fields in the specifics blank rather than assert a size we cannot stand behind. Measure your existing lower rack before you buy.

Fitment

The manufacturer states this part fits Frigidaire, Crosley, Electrolux, Gibson, Tappan, Kelvinator, Kenmore, IKEA and White-Westinghouse dishwashers, and publishes a long list of specific model numbers. One photo in this listing reproduces that model list, and another reproduces the maker’s fitment card showing which similar-looking racks this part is not. Both are the manufacturer’s claims, not ours. We have not fitted this rack to any machine and cannot confirm it will fit yours. Compare the measurements and the model list against your own lower rack first.

what we did not do

It came to us in a plain brown cardboard carton carrying only retailer barcode labels. There was no model number on the outside and nothing that identified the contents, so the labels told us nothing about what is inside. The rack itself was still wrapped in bubble wrap with kraft paper packing.

• We did not unwrap the rack.
• We did not lift it out of the carton.
• We did not fit it to a dishwasher and did not run it through a wash cycle.
• We did not count the wheels, the tines or any loose parts.

That means we have not inspected the wires, the coating, the wheels or the tines, and we are not claiming they are perfect. We also cannot guarantee what else is or is not inside the carton. The auction house we bought it from marked the unit as new, undamaged and complete. We did not verify those marks and we do not rely on them, and we would rather you did not either.

The weight and dimensions in the package fields are the weight and size of the packed carton we hand to the carrier. They are not the size of the rack.
