What this is

A four-piece front lower suspension kit for the Subaru Impreza. The maker lists the contents as two front lower ball joints, one front left lower control arm supplied without a ball joint, and one front right lower control arm supplied without a ball joint. The ball joints are separate pieces, not pressed into the arms, so fitting this kit requires pressing the joints into the arms.

Fitment, and why we left the compatibility table empty

The maker states one fitment only: 2012 to 2016 Subaru Impreza with the H4 2.0L 1995cc naturally aspirated engine. Turbocharged Impreza WRX and STI cars are not on the maker's list.

We have deliberately left eBay's vehicle compatibility table blank rather than tick year and trim rows. This is a steering and suspension part, and for 2012 to 2014 the turbocharged WRX sits inside the same Impreza model rows as the naturally aspirated cars. Ticking those rows would over-claim fitment on a safety part. Please check the original-equipment number 20202FJ010 or 20202FJ000 against your own car, and confirm your engine is the 2.0L naturally aspirated unit, before buying.

What we did not do

• We did not unwrap the bubble wrap, so the four pieces have not been opened, handled, counted, measured, bench checked or installed by us.
• We did not read any part number, casting mark or maker marking on the pieces themselves. Our identification rests on the auction lot record, the maker's own product page and the carton size, not on a label we could read in a photograph.
• We did not test, install or road-test anything.

Contents are not guaranteed

Because the wrap was never opened, we cannot guarantee the carton contains everything the maker lists, or that nothing is damaged inside. The maker's own package list names only the four numbered pieces above. The maker's photographs also show two mounting bolts, two castle nuts, two cotter pins and two snap rings, but that hardware is not on the maker's package list, and we have not confirmed it is in this carton. Treat the hardware as not included.

Conflicts we are not asserting

• Weight: our own measurement of the packed carton is 18 lb 4 oz. The maker's data gives a product weight of 18.10 lb and a package weight of 18.35 lb. Because these three figures disagree, we state no product weight in the item specifics at all.
• Item length is left blank. The kit holds two different arms, the maker states no length for either, and we will not present carton measurements as part measurements.
• Manufacturer part number is left blank. The maker publishes K9513, 524-789 and 524-790 as numbers this kit replaces, so we have entered them as interchange numbers rather than presenting them as the maker's own part number.
