A large manual sapling and tree-root puller. You close the toothed jaw around the base of a woody stem just above the soil, plant the curved base plate on the ground as a fulcrum, and pull the long lever back. The leverage lifts the plant out with its root ball instead of snapping it off at ground level, so it does not resprout. The manufacturer rates it for stems from 1/4 in to 2 in. The arm folds at a bolted mid-joint for storage.
