Check the model number on the underside of your MacBook before ordering. Fitting the wrong model is the most common reason these drives get returned.

Important Installation Note

Your MacBook must be running macOS 10.13 High Sierra or later BEFORE you remove the original drive. If the original drive is still on macOS 10.12 or earlier, the new SSD will not be recognised after the swap. Update first, then swap.

Open box. The retail tray is pictured exactly as received (photo 2) - please use it as the definitive guide to what ships.

• 1 x FLEANE 256GB MZ17C SSD, still in its anti-static bag
• 2 x screwdrivers (T5 torx and P5 pentalobe) for the case and drive screws
• 1 x USB stick, present in its tray slot - however this listing is sold as NO INSTALLER: treat the USB as blank and plan to supply your own macOS installer or use internet recovery.
• The USB-to-Type-C adapter is NOT included - its tray slot is empty, as you can see in photo 2

The manufacturer normally bundles a bootable macOS installer and a USB-C adapter with this drive. Both are called out above because this particular unit does not ship complete. Priced accordingly.
