Both ends are labelled. The end marked SOURCE must be plugged into the signal source (laptop, PC, console, streaming box) and the end marked DISPLAY into the TV, monitor or projector. If the ends are reversed you will get no picture — this is normal for fiber optic HDMI and is not a fault.
Fiber optic cores can break under heavy force. Do not bend, crush or kink the cable sharply during installation.
