- The crack question is real but manageable. Holes concentrate stress, and rotors that are drilled after casting are the ones that crack. Rotors cast with the holes, with chamfered edges, hold up fine in street use. Where drilled rotors genuinely don't belong is repeated track sessions on a heavy vehicle.
- What actually stops your truck is the pad and the rotor's mass. A big-diameter, thick, well-ventilated rotor with a good ceramic pad will out-brake a fancy-looking thin one every time.
